Broken mess

I purchased a glass table with metal legs within three months the table detached from the metal base. This is after waiting 6 to 8 weeks for it to come in. I have to waiting for the insurance company to let me know that I could re-shop for another set it became a very stressful situation with the sales associate FELICIA I walked out the store every time she would disrespect me to the point it made me very upset its stress me out its going on a year still to this day I have the same broken set In my house.

My bedroom set was made of cheap wood. My bed broke in 3 parts. I called the company to get another one under warranty but was with a bed for over a year. Then they put a lien on my account and Ive never been served any documents.

We have financed with grand several times. We financed a bed set and some mattresses and a refrigerator we went back a few years later and got a new couch and love seat. We were told our monthly payment would go up a bit which was fine but no financing charges would be added it was 0 financing. Come to find out we got charged a *** of a lot of financing it doubled our loan we still owe a lot at this point and I am very upset I was lied to. I will never buy anything again at grand furniture and the furniture quality is very poor and they do not honor the warranty.

I bought a tv got it home it was broken so they gave me a new one never used then when I lost my job I was upfront with them so then they took me to court so the judge told me that I needed to return it ok no worries he said a sheriff will be by to get it no one showed up called the courthouse and grand furniture then a few months later grand furniture garnished my checks and it was paid in full then 4 years later I get a call that I still owe them money so I went back into my credit report it says paid in full so please if this ever happens to you check your credit report they are out to get double moneys

Illegal business practices

I filed for bankruptcy and made them aware. I went to the grocery store to buy supplies for me and my family to buy supplies in wake of Covid19. My card was declined because Grand chose to ignore law and placed a levy on my account. I have been a customer for years and have always paid them I lost my job last year and was out of work for six months. Per my attorney this is common for them and I will eventually get my money back but what do me and my family do in the meantime? I wouldn't recommend them to anyone under any circumstances.

No accommodation of request for a copy of prior purchase history. Told me to go to my store and they will have it. I would think it is not that difficult to email me a copy of my purchase history since I am looking to buy more furniture similar to the ones I have bought before.

We had a brand new refrigerator delivered at 9:15 am on 9/27/19, the delivery team was very nice and professional. About 2 hours after delivery, the refrigerator started making a screeching news, initially we thought perhaps the coolant and calibration of the unit was causing the strange noise.

I called the store and was transferred to the repair department and was told they could have a repairman onsite a WEEK later and that's all they could do. They suggested I speak with the salesperson Chris Larson, to see if she could do anything more. I left a voicemail and was called back 6 hours later. At this time the refrigerator had stopped making the noise and we thought everything was okay.

Imagine my surprise when later that evening, i discovered the freezer was NOT freezing, all our food was defrosting and the refrigerator had stopped working entirely. Only the light was working. I immediately called Chris Larson and left a voicemail, asking for assistance and a new refrigerator. We contacted the store again Sunday and left a voicemail.

Today is Monday 9/30/19, i have not been called back nor do i have a new refrigerator.

I can't believe this, this is the worst customer service i have experienced in my life. Who conducts business like this ?

My furniture didn't fit for the 2nd time. We measured it, but there's a wall that keeps it from coming into my house. The delivery guy did he's tired of coming to my *** house. Plus some more stuff. I will never spend my money with them again.

We purchased over $4,000 worth of furniture and the extended warranty plan (Montage). Extra large supposedly leather sectional sofa and dinette set 3 years ago. Sofa is cracking and peeling now and table top is chipping. After speaking to a half dozen different people claim denied. Offered $200 credit for inconvenience. Refused. I want nothing from this store. They are liars. Said warranty would cover sofa if I had cut it with a knife or scissors. I would like to burn it. Cheaply made furniture for an expensive price. Oh let’s not forget lots of lies too. Please listen learn and take heed. I’m telling you the truth. Do not shop at Grand. Better quality furniture at the Dump. At least the leather is real Former Customer

Grand nor the Warranty company wants to fix it. I have been trying to get it fixed since May of 2019. I keep getting the run around. I am not happy. I will never buy another thing from them. I do not suggest that anyone shops at grand. They are the worst. They can come and get everything that is on my bill at this time because i am not going to pay them one thin dime

the furniture is Cheap. If you pay your account off...13 years later for me they are suing me fir 18,000 for a couch and Chair from 13 years ago...

they will call companues pretend they are you to get YOUR MOST CURRENT information. This company truly SUCKS!

I experienced something similar. Grand Furniture in Newport News, Va.

put a lean on my bank account approx 5 to 6 years back . I'm on a fixed income with is a disability pension. They took took balance owed. Last year they started contacting me saying there was s few dollars owed and interest build up to $800.

Now a new lean on my account.I was a fool to purchase from tg ed m after yet years earlier I witnessed how they spoke to my mother unprofessionally, aggressive, ghetto etc.. We as customers should not not tolerate this kind of behavior from companies like this. Company IU es like this IU s no different from these cashloan places that target a particular group of customers.

It's called predatory lending There are so many other companies out here that will assist if you have bad credit. We need to not support companies.like this!!!!!

Broken recliner.

A Laz y Boy recliner was purchased with Guardsman extended warranty from Grand Furniture at Valley View in Roanoke VA. Recliner broke and it has been over five months trying to get it repaired.

Guardsman doesn't seem to be able to do the job, so I went to Grand because they sell the Guardsman plan in their store. I called first and was told it was not their problem because the recliner was covered under Guardsman. I then went in person and spoke to the manager. I was led to believe Grand was going to fix the problem.

They called and were going to schedule a repairman, then said, "You are aware there will be a service fee of $99.95". I cancelled the repair and once again contacted Guardsman and was told someone would call and schedule. It has been a week and no call. I understand Grand doesn't have to honor a warranty from a company that they endorse.

I will probably end up repairing the recliner myself. As for Grand, they lost a customer who has purchased furniture from their company since 1976.

As for Guardsman don't waste your money. I spoke with a manager at Schewells Furniture who gave the best advice, by letting me know that for broken parts on the mechanical parts of a Laz y Boy, you can contact the Laz y Boy company and they will ship you parts for no cost.

Tortured by grand

I brought furniture from grand furniture paid cash for it and they said I fianaced furniture even though I sent them a copy of my receipt I am disabled and never got any new paperwork from them I won 2 judgments against them

Grand Furniture of Virginia Beach, Virginia is very prejudiced in their hiring practices. They practice reverse discrimination on a daily basis when it come to deciding who to hire. They believe that only minorities should be hired for any position.
